No, not Las Vegas (you drunkards!); not even the happy place inside of me (you hippies); I'm talking about Disneyland! My first time (I keep saying it because it keeps amazing the Japanese people) in this magic place and I loved it. Disneyland is amazing, you keep hearing about it in films and tv series and in the news, and finally you get to go there and it's just as good as everybody says! Frankly, it was better than my expectations. It was "pure Disney magic", as Sheldon would say. The only perplexity was the fact that there were Disney merchandise, parades, signes, statues and decorations still Easter themed. Even though Easter was two months ago! Probably they have so many goods and the chariots of the parade are so beautiful so they just will keep living in an Eastery wonderland until Christmas. But let's talk about it: even before arriving at the actual park, you can feel the Disney atmosphere. The chikatetsu Disney line has Mickey shaped windows and handlers! They are so cute (or as they say here, kawaii!)! To get into the park - we went to Disneyland, I have to specify because in Tokyo there are Disneyland and Disneysea - there was an immense queue that would have taken us forever, but luckily Asako-san (I was there with Asako-san, Makie and Masako) had special tickets and a reservation at Club 33 so we skipped the queue and walked in through the VIP entrance. Well, since that was theirs more-than-100th time at the park, they were very well organized. Naturally, being it Sunday it was crowded as hell and for the most popular attractions there were almost two hours of waiting, but luckily we got some Fastpass tickets so we were able to skip the queue in some places. We went to see the "Pirates of the Caribbean" attraction and it was very well done, so much better than Gardaland's "Pirati" actually. We also went to "Big Thunder Mountain" a roller-coaster which was so much fun! My favourite I have to say. And we went to see the Michael Jackson's 3D film. The best 3D ever seen. We had lunch at Club 33, which is a restaurant part of an exclusive club where only members have access to. The door to this restaurant is handleless and the entry phone is hidden behind a panel. You can hardly spot it amongst the shops - a bit like the Leaky Cauldron in Harry Potter - and inside it's a triumph of luxury and beauty. The windows of the saloon overlook Cinderella's castle and everything is absolutely perfect. Food, furniture, waiters and at the end even the personalized stickers with our names and the date. A beautiful souvenir. The park was full of Japanese people, and surprisingly very few foreigners. In Tokyo everybody has been at least twice to Disneyland and Disneysea. Also the Japanese were very well organized, with Mickey and Minnie's ears, Disney t-shirts, Donald Duck's hats, Alice's dresses... I felt very out of place in my every day clothes. We also saw three parades, which very beautiful and colourful and noisy and fun. Especially the Jubilation parade, the classic one. One last thing, the Disney characters walk all day long for Disneyland and you can touch them, take a picture with them (if you can fight off the crowd of Japanese girls screaming, I couldn't) and so on... weirdly enough, the only thing I could think of was how hot the actors must have been inside those costumes. So much for that magic.

La mia prima volta (continuo a ripeterlo perché continua a sorprendere i giapponesi) in questo posto magico ed è stato fantastico! Disneyland è incredibile, ne senti parlare nei film e nei telefilm e al TG, e quando finalmente ci vai è proprio bello quanto dicono! Francamente, era addirittura meglio di quanto mi aspettassi. Era "pure Disney magic" come direbbe Sheldon. La mia unica perplessità si concentrava sul fatto che c'erano cose in vendita, parate, segnali, statue e decorazioni ancora pasquali. Anche se Pasqua è stata più di due mesi fa. Probabilmente hanno così tanti gadget e i carri sono così belli che continueranno a vivere in un paese delle meraviglie pasquali fino a Natale. Ma parliamo del parco: già da prima di arrivare all'ingresso si sente l'atmosfera disneyana: la linea Disney della chikatetsu ha finestre e maniglie a forma di Topolino! Sono così carine (o, come dicono qui, kawaii!)! Per entrare al parco - siamo andate a Disneyland, devo specificare perché a Tokyo c'è sia Disneyland che Disneysea - c'era una fila immensa che ci avrebbe tolto ore preziose al divertimento, ma per fortuna Asako-san (sono andata con Asako-san, Makie e Masako) avevano i biglietti speciali e una prenotazione per il Club 33, quindi abbiamo saltato la coda e siamo entrate per l'ingresso VIP. Bé, visto che era la loro (più-di-)centesima volta al parco, erano ben organizzate. Naturalmente, visto che era domenica c'era tantissima gente e per le attrazioni più popolari c'erano code di più di due ore, ma per fortuna avevamo alcuni biglietti Fastpass quindi siamo state in grado di saltare la coda qui e là. Siamo andate a vedere l'attrazione di "Pirati dei Caraibi" ed era fatta proprio bene, molto meglio dei "Pirati" di Gardaland. Siamo anche andate alla "Big Thunder Mountain", montagne russe che erano troppo divertenti! Le mie preferite di tutto il parco. E siamo andate a vedere il film in 3D di Michael Jackson. Il miglior 3D che abbia mai visto. Abbiamo pranzato al Club 33, un ristorante che è parte di un club super esclusivo dove solo i membri vi hanno accesso. La porta del ristorante non ha maniglie e il citofono è nascosto dietro ad un pannello d'oro. Si riesce a malapena a distinguerla tra i negozi - un po' come il Paiolo Magico di Harry Potter - e dentro è un trionfo di lusso e bellezza. Le finestre del salone principale danno sul castello di Cenerentola e tutto è perfetto come in un castello delle fiabe: dal cibo, agli arredi, ai camerieri fino agli stickers personalizzati con il nostro nome e la data. Un bellissimo souvenir. Il parco era pieno di giapponesi e, sorprendentemente, pochissimi stranieri. A Tokyo adorano la Disney e tutti sono stati a Disneyland e Disneysea almeno due volte in tutta la loro vita (quando non ci vanno almeno due volte al mese). Inoltre i giapponesi sono molto ben organizzati in fatto di vestiario, con orecchie di Topolino e di Minnie, t-shirt della Disney, cappelli di Paperino, vestitini di Alice, eccetera, eccetera... Mi sentivo proprio fuori luogo nei miei vestiti di tutti i giorni. Abbiamo anche visto tre parate, che erano bellissime e divertentissime e rumorosissime. Specialmente quella classica, la Jubilation. Un'ultima cosa, i personaggi Disney passeggiano per il parco per tutto il tempo e si possono toccare, fare le foto con loro (se si riesce a combattere la folla di ragazze giapponesi urlanti, io non ci sono riuscita) e così via... stranamente, l'unica cosa a cui riuscivo a pensare guardandoli era quanto caldo dovevano avere gli attori dentro quei costumi. Giusto per sentire la magia.
